Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Coinyong ("we", "us") operates coinyong.com, a website that provides cryptocurrency market data—including real-time prices, the kimchi premium (the price gap between Korean and global exchanges), futures data and related tools—together with community features such as a public chat room and direct messages (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

2. Definitions

  1. "Member" means anyone who creates an account and uses the Service.
  2. "Guest" means a visitor who takes part in the chat room without an account.
  3. "Content" means any text, images or GIFs posted on the Service by a Member or Guest.

3. Accounts

  1. You must be at least 14 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only as permitted by applicable law.
  2. Signing up requires agreeing to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
  3. You may not create an account using someone else's identity or information.
  4. You can sign up with Google Sign-In.

4. Using the Service

  1. Market data pages are available to everyone. Community features generally require an account; the chat room can also be used as a Guest.
  2. The Service currently applies usage limits, including:
    • Chat messages: 5 messages per 10 seconds
    • Direct messages: 30 per minute
    • Image/GIF uploads in direct messages: 50 per day
  3. Sending the same message repeatedly may be treated as spam and restricted.
  4. Guests can post text messages only. Sending images or GIFs and using direct messages require an account.

5. Chat room rules

  1. Chat messages are limited to 200 characters (100 for Guests).
  2. Where image and GIF uploads are enabled, images may be up to 2 MB and GIFs may be up to 5 MB.
  3. You can delete your own message within 5 minutes of posting it.
  4. Chat messages are automatically deleted after a period set by our operating policy.
  5. Messages that violate our Community Guidelines may be removed without notice.
  6. You retain ownership of the copyright in your Content. You grant us a non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, and otherwise use your Content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, and provide the Service.

6. Direct messages

  1. Direct messages are limited to 1,000 characters.
  2. Messages are automatically deleted one year after they are sent.
  3. "Delete for everyone" is available only within 5 minutes of sending a message.
  4. Messages you "delete for me" are retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted.
  5. Deleting a conversation removes it for you only; the other person keeps their copy.
  6. You cannot exchange messages with a user you have blocked or who has blocked you.

7. Suspension and restrictions

We may suspend or restrict your access to community features or your account if you violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law, or if necessary to protect the Service or its users.

8. Closing your account

  1. You can request account deletion at any time through the contact channel below.
  2. When your account is deleted:
    • Deleted immediately: login credentials, password, email address, profile information (nickname, avatar, bio), block list, notification and push subscription data, favorite coins, and your chat messages.
    • Deleted 30 days after account deletion: your direct messages (copies retained in the other person's account remain unless they delete them earlier).
  3. Deleted account data cannot be recovered.

9. Service availability

  1. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, emergency repairs, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Where possible we will give notice in advance; otherwise we will give notice afterwards.
  2. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.

10. Disclaimers

  1. All market data on Coinyong is provided for informational purposes only. Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, investment, trading, tax, or legal advice.
  2. You are solely responsible for your investment and trading decisions, and Coinyong is not responsible for losses resulting from your use of or reliance on the market data.
  3. Prices and other data come from third-party sources (exchanges and data providers) and may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or inaccurate.
  4. We are not responsible for disputes between users. Each user is responsible for the Content they post.

11. Changes to these Terms

  1. We may update these Terms. Changes will take effect 7 days after we post them on the Service.
  2. Operational details—such as retention periods, rate limits, upload limits, and anti-spam rules—may change from time to time as the Service evolves.
  3. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may stop using the Service and delete your account.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The Service is operated in the Republic of Korea.
